شیرهائی که به منظور قطع و وصل کامل جریان مایعات و گازها (سیالات) بکار می روند.

(Gate valves) شیرهای دروازه ای

یکی از شیرهائی که به منظور قطع و وصل کامل جریان سیالات بکار می روند ، شیرهای دروازه ای ( گیت ولو ) نامیده می شود.این شیرها جهت تنظیم جریان نمی توانند مورد استفاده قرار گیرند، زیرا جهت و سرعت جریان در دیسک ایجاد خرابی نموده و علاوه بر آن به علت ذوزنقه بودن مجرایشان سطح مقطع مجرائیکه باز می شود متناسب با تعداد دور دسته شیر نیست و لذا تنظیم دقیق عبور سیال مشکلتر از سایر شیرهاست . همچنین تعمیر دیسک و سیت آنها به علت شکل ذوزنقه ای مشکل تر است

شیرهای دروازه ای ( گیت ولو ) به دو نوع ذیل تقسیم بندی می شوند

  RISING STEM GATE VALVE & NON RISING STEM GATE VALVE

•  RISING STEM GATE VALVE

در این نوع شیرها هنگام چرخاندن دسته ، قسمت دنده دار ساقه ( استیم ) از دسته خارج شده بطوریکه باز یا بسته بودن شیر با چشم قابل رویت است و چون هنگام باز بودن شیر ، همواره ساقه در فضا قرار می گیرد ، ضربه پذیر است

NON RISING STEM GATE VALVE

در این نوع شیرها هنگام چرخاندن دسته ، قسمت دنده دار ساقه ( استیم ) در داخل دیسک می چرخد و دیسک حالت مهره را دارد، بدین ترتیب دیسک با گردش دسته بالا و پائین می رود.در این نوع شیرها با نگاه ظاهری نمی توان تشخیص داد که شیر کاملا باز است وبا بسته. قسمت دنده دار بسادگی گریسکاری نمی شود و چون با مایع در تماس است باعث خوردگیش می شود ولی ساقه چون از دسته خارج نی شود محفوظ می ماند و لایه پکینگ دیر تر فرسوده می شود

 

 
 

Flosteer Gate Valves are Rising Spindle, Outside Screw & Yoke Type construction. Flosteer Gate valves are provided with smooth machined full bore and full opening of wedge eliminates additional pressure drop across the valve. Solid wedge, Flexible wedge, Split wedge, and Parallel wedge designs offer maximum flexibility and option to clients for their suitable selection. Specially designed seat and gland packing materials are provided for superheated steam and high temperature Thermic fluid to trouble free service, easy operation and longer life. Deep stuffing box is providing to assure tightness and maximum packing life. A separate properly machined and lapped back seat facilities are provided for replacement of Gland packing when valve is in stream under pressure.

Stellited trims are provided for all above 600# as a manufacturing standard of “FLOSTEER” valves and in lower rating also on request. Flosteer also offer extra long, extended bonnet Gate valve for low temperature and cryogenic services. Antifriction thrust bearing is provided in yoke sleeve for higher sizes and classes.

FLOSTEER Gate valves are available under any Third party inspection including IBR (Indian Boiler Regulation).

Flosteer Gate Valves are also available with Gear, Pneumatic Cylinder, Electrical Actuator operated along with accessories like Solenoid, Limit Switch, Air Filter Regulator etc.

Flosteer High Performance Uni-Directional / Bi-Directional Knife Edge Gate Valve provide better value and performance with many standard features not found in other, commodity Knife Edge Gate Valve. Flosteer Knife Edge Gate Valves are available in different combination of Body, Seat & Gate material. 

Machine ground ultra thick gate and lapped integral / renewable seat are designed to handle dense mixture of stock, and slurries. 

A wide variety of hardened trim options are available on gate, seat ring and deflection cone to perform in critical services. Flosteer Knife Edge Gate Valves are full port design for greater flow capacity and minimal pressure drop.

Body:
Solid, Rugged, Heavy Duty, One-Piece body casting including flanges. Flosteer Knife Edge Gate Valve design ensures minimum contact between the internal trim parts of valve, Reduce wear & Tear.

Knife Gate:

  • Thicker knife gate to eliminate distortion under maximum differential pressure and to provide tight seating.
  • Precision machined and buffed gate provide long life of seating components and cuts even heavy or high-viscous fluids.
  • Precision finish gate sealing face is lapped to provide the best possible seat tightness.

Stem:
All valves are provided with a Corrosion Resistance, Stainless Steel stem that assures easy, smooth, long life operation and dependable services. Knife Edge Gate Valve also can supply with stem cover on request for additional protection against dust while the valve is in the open condition.

Seat:
Integral / Renewable both types of seats are available with Flosteer Knife Edge Gate Valve. For highly abrasive applications we can supply a replaceable seat ring with a hard faced knife surface. Replaceable Seat extends the service life of the valve. Resilient seats can be easily replaced after removing valve from the line without complete dismantling.

Gland Packing:
Smooth fully machined packing chamber, cast gland follower, multiple packing and true leveling provide uniform compression of packing and it gives zero leakage from gland portion. Different varieties of packing materials to suit condition provide total sealing.

Valve Design & Testing: As Per MSS SP 81
Body Test:
Flosteer Knife Edge Gate Valves are tested at 150 psi up to 12” Size in C.S./S.S./Alloy Steel Construction and 75 psi up to 24” Size. 

Seat Test:
MSS SP 81 has an allowable leakage rate (for metal to metal seated valves only) of 40 cc per inch of diameter, per minute at 40 psi pressure. On a 12” size valves this would be equal 40 times 12, or 480 cc cc per minute at 40 psi.

  • Maximum allowable leakage of 0.6 GPM when tested with water at 40 psi applied in the normal flow direction.
  • For Soft Seated (Elastomers/P.T.F.E.) valves no visible leakage when tested with water at 40 psi.

Above 24” Size & Renewable seat design Knife Edge Gate Valves is not covered in MSS SP 81 Standard. Contact factory for higher size with application.
